BS EN 14181

BS EN 14181 and BS EN 13284-2 are standards which involve quality assurance of Automated Monitoring Systems (AMS) or Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS). The standards are complimented by Method Implementation Documents (MID 14181 and MID 13284-2) and EA Technical Guidance Note M20. The standard and associated guidance documents describe the steps involved in ensuring continued compliance as follows:

     QAL 1           Product Certification

     QAL 2           Calibration

     QAL 3           Quality control checks

     AST              Annual surveillance Test

NWSS can offer guidance on these aspects and perform parallel testing for QAL 2 and AST. As well as the parallel tests required for QAL 2 and AST, NWSS can assist with Functional Test planning and auditing, and have also performed linearity tests, line tests and span and zero checks for customers.

NWSS were awarded accreditation to MCERTS by UKAS for QAL 2 and AST to BS EN 14181 in January 2011
