Legionella Control
NWSS have a dedicated team of proven legionella risk assessors, technicians and samplers who undertake site visits and provide legionella risk assessments and carry out control regimes to comply with current legislation.
Since 1991, our water systems safety experts have helped a wide range of organisations to achieve compliance with legislation with regard to legionella control. This is carried out by initiating and maintaining monitoring and maintenance regimes including cleaning and disinfection programmes. All water samples taken as part of our control regimes are analysed at our UKAS accredited laboratories.
In June 2010, the water systems safety team won an award in the 50+ employees' category of the 'Excellent Contractor Awards' at Newcastle University. The 'Excellent Contractor Awards' recognise a company's success, with contractor performance being scored against a range of key performance indicators including health and safety, sustainability, neighbourly behaviour and housekeeping. To be recognised for performance by the University, one of Newcastle's biggest employers, is a great boost for the team who work hard to provide the University with a valuable service.
