We are members of the ANC and hold UKAS accreditation for sound insulation testing so you can be confident that our results are reliable, and will be accepted by all regulatory bodies. Our acoustic consultants have considerable experience in conducting airborne and impact sound testing to satisfy Building Regulations requirements, and are familiar with most types of building design. Our wireless sound insulation testing equipment allows us to provide an efficient service with next-day reporting often possible.
Approved Document E 'Resistance to the Passage of Sound' of the Building Regulations was revised in 2003 and amended in 2004, including a requirement to carry out pre-completion sound insulation tests on party walls and floors in a number of situations. This is currently only applicable to England & Wales, but similar regulations apply in other parts of the UK.
These tests should only be carried out by organisations that hold approved third-party accreditation by UKAS or ANC.
